Sport at Chatswood High School

Sport and physical activity are an integral part of the Chatswood High School experience. Not only does being involved in sport boost self esteem, improve communication and teamwork skills and enhance leadership abilities, it is also proven to have positive effect on physical, social and mental health outcomes. There are a range of ways our student at Chatswood can involve themselves in sport.

Knock Out Sports

Each year we enter a range of knock out sport teams in the Sydney North competition draw. There are a diverse range of sporting teams to play in for which students must be selected through a trial process and are expected to show commitment and teamwork through regular training.

Sydney North Representative Sport

For students who excel in the sporting domain there is the opportunity to compete for selection in the Sydney North Representative Teams. Trails are held throughout the year for a range of sport at which our students can trail for selection. Selection in a Sydney North team is a privilege and an achievement to be highly commended.

Year 7 Gala Day

Once a year our Year 7 students have the opportunity to compete at sporting gala days where they play other schools in our zone in the sport of their choosing. On these days, we enlist the help of our year 9 and 10 PASS students who act in coaching and management roles for each of the teams.

Year 7 Sport

This year, we are shaking things up for Year 7. The students will travel to different venues to partake in a variety of sports each term. These activities include Gymnastics, Indoor Multi-Sports, BlueFit Health Club and Martial Arts. For more information please Year 7 Sport Program 2018.pdf
