Saturday School

The Saturday School of Community Languages (SSCL) is a Department of Education school, operating centres at 16 sites. SSCL offers many languages to students who wish to study their background community language to School Certificate and Higher School Certificate level, and who are unable to do so in their home school. Classes are held on Saturdays during school term. Years 7-10 classes attend for 2 hours, 2 Unit Years 11 and 12 for three hours and extension courses for Year 12 for four hours. Students who want to study the language of their background community, must apply through their home school.

Languages offered at the Chatswood High School centre include Armenian, Chinese, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Modern Greek, Polish and Spanish.
