Students at Chatswood High School have the opportunity to participate in the NSW Law Society Mock Trial Competition.
Each year we enter a team of Year 10 and 11 students. The team consists of two barristers, a solicitor, two witnesses and a court attendant. Cases cover both criminal and civil matters and the team is coached by a member of the legal profession. Students compete with other schools in the region.
This is a wonderful opportunity to develop confidence in public speaking and teamwork skills. Problem solving and higher order thinking is also important in this competition.
